Welcome to Legacy & Laurel ("Legacy & Laurel," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and the purchase of goods from us. By accessing our website, communicating with us, or purchasing any item, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Legacy & Laurel specializes in fine art, antiques, vintage furnishings, decorative arts, collectibles, and related items. Many items offered for sale are unique, one-of-a-kind, pre-owned, antique, vintage, or otherwise age-related pieces that may exhibit wear and characteristics consistent with age and prior use.

We strive to provide accurate descriptions, photographs, dimensions, provenance information, and condition reports. However, all descriptions reflect our opinions and good-faith assessments based upon available information.

Because antique, vintage, and fine art items are often unique and subjective in nature:

• Colors may vary due to lighting, photography, and display settings.
• Dimensions may be approximate.
• Condition assessments are subjective.
• Signs of age, wear, patina, restoration, repairs, craquelure, fading, and other age-related characteristics may be present.

Buyers are responsible for reviewing all available information and requesting additional information before purchasing if desired.

Any statements regarding maker, artist, origin, period, age, attribution, provenance, or authenticity represent our good-faith opinions unless expressly identified as guaranteed.

Scholarly opinions, market consensus, and attribution standards may evolve over time. Accordingly, no representation regarding authorship, attribution, provenance, or authenticity shall be deemed a warranty unless expressly stated in writing as such.

All prices are subject to change without notice.

We reserve the right to:

• Correct pricing errors;
• Cancel transactions resulting from typographical or system errors;
• Refuse or cancel any order before shipment;
• Limit quantities or availability.

An item is not considered sold until payment has been successfully received and accepted.

Payment is due at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the transaction and relisting of the item without further notice.

The buyer is responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, customs fees, and governmental charges.

Shipping dates are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Risk of loss and title transfer to the buyer upon delivery to the carrier unless otherwise required by law.

The buyer is responsible for providing accurate delivery information and for coordinating any required receiving arrangements.

Large, fragile, valuable, or oversized items may require specialized shipping or freight services.

Buyers should inspect items promptly upon delivery.

Any concerns regarding shipping damage, shortages, or delivery issues should be reported as soon as reasonably possible and, where applicable, while preserving all original packaging and shipping materials.

Purchases are subject to our Returns & Refunds Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Unless expressly approved by Legacy & Laurel in writing, all sales are final.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Legacy & Laurel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or relating to any purchase, transaction, website use, or item sold.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price actually paid for the item giving rise to the claim.

Except as expressly stated in writing, all items are sold "AS IS," "WHERE IS," and "WITH ALL FAULTS."

Legacy & Laurel disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, authenticity, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

All website content, photographs, text, logos, graphics, and other materials are the property of Legacy & Laurel or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written permission.

Purchasing an item does not transfer any copyright, reproduction rights, or intellectual property rights associated with the item unless expressly stated in writing.

You agree not to:

• Use our website for unlawful purposes;
• Interfere with website functionality or security;
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
• Misrepresent your identity or authority.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

The parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute through informal negotiations before initiating litigation.

Any legal action arising from these Terms or any transaction with Legacy & Laurel shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and the parties consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Legacy & Laurel may revise these Terms at any time. Updated Terms become effective upon posting.

Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
